A Family Tradition Built on Quality

My journey into plastering began at the age of 16 when I started my apprenticeship working alongside my father, Tony. During this time I completed a three-year apprenticeship while studying at Leicester College, gaining City & Guilds qualifications and developing the traditional plastering skills that continue to underpin my work today.

Learning from experienced craftsmen taught me the importance of doing every job properly, taking pride in the finish and treating every customer’s home with respect.

These values remain at the heart of Blakeston Plastering & Rendering Ltd today.

Traditional Skills Combined with Modern Techniques

Following my apprenticeship, I spent 18 months working in Germany, where I gained valuable experience using machine plastering equipment long before it became common in the UK. I have been using plastering and rendering machines since 1994, allowing us to deliver faster, more consistent finishes on many modern projects.

Over the years I have continually invested in new techniques, products and training to ensure we can offer both traditional craftsmanship and the latest rendering systems.
