Plastering FAQs

Do you plaster over Artex?

Yes. In most cases we can prepare and skim over Artex ceilings and walls to create a smooth modern finish.

Can you repair cracked plaster?

Yes. We repair damaged plaster, cracks, blown plaster and water-damaged areas before applying a new finish where required.

Do you carry out drylining?

Yes. We install plasterboard, dot and dab systems, metal stud partitions and complete drylining systems for homes and commercial properties.

How long before I can paint fresh plaster?

Fresh plaster should normally be allowed to dry completely before decorating. We recommend using a mist coat followed by quality emulsion.

Rendering FAQs

What is silicone render?

Silicone render is a modern coloured render with excellent weather resistance, flexibility and self-cleaning properties. It provides a beautiful finish while reducing maintenance.

What is monocouche render?

Monocouche render is a through-coloured cement-based render applied in a single system. It provides a durable, attractive finish without the need for painting.

Which render is best for my home?

This depends on your property’s construction, location and budget. We’ll recommend the most suitable render system after inspecting your property.

Do coloured renders need painting?

No. Modern coloured renders contain colour throughout the finish and normally do not require painting.

Can render be applied over existing render?

Sometimes. Existing render must be carefully inspected to ensure it is sound and suitable before a new render system can be applied.

Lime Plastering FAQs

Do you carry out lime plastering?

Yes. We undertake traditional lime plastering and lime rendering, particularly for older and period properties that require breathable materials.

Why use lime plaster?

Lime plaster allows moisture to escape naturally, helping protect older buildings while maintaining their character.

External Wall Insulation FAQs

What is external wall insulation?

External wall insulation adds insulation boards to the outside of your property before applying a reinforced render system, improving warmth and energy efficiency.

Can external wall insulation reduce energy bills?

Yes. Properly installed external wall insulation can improve thermal performance and help reduce heat loss.
